What a statement jacket! The outer shell is particularly lovely, constructed of an iridescent silk that shows green or gold, depending on how the light hits it- and look at that regal floral pattern! Cut of jacket is very 1960s with a cropped boxy waist, a double-breasted closure, and 3/4 sleeves. Also lined in silk, definitely well-made. Vogue Paris Original was not actually a label, but a company that provided original (and challenging!) designer patterns from the most coveted of designers, such as Pierre Cardin, Nina Ricci, and Guy Laroche. With the patterns came this label for the seamstress to sew inside, if desired. I did a little research and found that this particular piece is from an early 60s Lanvin pattern. I would have loved to find the whole suit, but the jacket is pretty incredible!
